Global Business Investor Program
On April 1, 2020, the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) released the "Global Investor Program" (Global Investor Programme, referred to as GIP), for qualified global investors who intend to do business in Singapore, promote investment growth and A relatively fast channel for permanent residence status (PR for short), the program requires investors to have rich business experience and a successful entrepreneurial background.
Application conditions
Applicants under GIP mainly include: business owners, descendants of business owners, founders of fast-growing companies, and heads of family offices. The following conditions need to be met respectively:

GIP's investment plan With the application qualification, it is necessary to formulate an investment plan in the qualified field and report it to EDB for evaluation. GIP stipulates the following investment plans and basic requirements For applicants to choose: Option A: Invest S$2.5 million in a new business entity or expansion of an existing business. Option B: Invest S$2.5 million in a GIP fund invested by a Singapore company. Option C: Invest S$2.5 million in a new or existing Singapore single-family office with assets under management (AUM) of at least S$200 million. |
